Welcome to Sam. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You may only use Sam for legitimate business purposes.

Use of the Service

Sam provides automated tools to request, collect, and respond to Google reviews, and to manage your business reputation. You agree to use the service in compliance with all applicable laws, including any rules set by Google for Business Profiles, and not to use the service to mislead customers or post fraudulent reviews.

Google Business Profile

When you connect your Google Business Profile, you grant Sam authorisation to access your business information and reviews through Google's APIs and, where enabled, to post replies to reviews on your behalf. Sam does not overwrite existing review replies on Google. You are responsible for ensuring that any replies posted from your account comply with Google's Business Profile policies and applicable laws. Sam's use of Google data is subject to Google's API Terms of Service, which you can review at developers.google.com/terms.

Customer Data

You are responsible for the customer contact details you upload and for ensuring you have the necessary consent to send them review requests and follow-up messages. Sam will only use this information to perform the services you have requested.

SMS Feedback & Review Requests — Consent

Where a business uses Sam to send SMS feedback or review requests, the business is responsible for obtaining the customer's prior express SMS consent before any message is sent. Consent must be captured through an unticked checkbox (never pre-selected) with the wording "I agree to receive text messages from the business I have dealt with asking for feedback or a review after my purchase or service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase." Consent is not required to make a purchase or receive a service.

Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. Your free trial, if offered, lasts 14 days and requires no credit card. After the trial, your selected plan begins and is billed in advance. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

AI-Generated Content

Sam uses artificial intelligence to draft review replies and messages on your behalf. Depending on your settings, replies may be posted automatically or held for your approval. You are responsible for content published from your account and should review automated replies where appropriate.

Limitation of Liability

Sam is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

Termination

You can cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm us or others.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the platform. Continued use of Sam after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
